Our Story

ETR Services’ roots date back to the late 1970s when some of its members worked together as part of a research team for a small minority woman-owned business based in both Durham and Chapel Hill, North Carolina. ETR Services, LLC was formed in September 2007 by six employees in an effort to continue providing services to organizations with a strong social mission. Today we are once again a small, minority-owned organization based in Durham, North Carolina that is composed of four employees and a host of experienced consultants and partners.

ETR staff has years of experience in project management across a range of disciplines and skill sets. Our staff have conducted fieldwork throughout the United States and in every county and LEA in the state of North Carolina. We take a collaborative approach in working with our clients and partners so that all stakeholders are acknowledged and kept up-to-date during the entire work process. We place a strong emphasis on innovation and use of flexible teams to address our clients’ needs. Regardless of the position they hold within the company, ETR staff work in project teams based on the task requirements, staff experience and individual skill sets.

ETR’s office systems are tailored to ensure compliance with government contracting requirements under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). ETR uses accounting software designed specifically for government contracting applications, specifically, cost reimbursable and time and materials contracts. ETR’s technology platform provides both security and tremendous flexibility to meet small business communication needs. The combination of these components allows ETR the capacity to perform the work, maintain confidential client information, and communicate with staff and clients easily both on- and off-site.
